The foundation of therapeutic massage - 5 techniques for health and balance
Classic massage, also known as Swedish massage, is the basis of modern physiotherapy. It is based on five fundamental techniques: effleurage (gliding), petrissage (kneading), friction, tapotement (percussion) and vibration. Each works differently - together they form a comprehensive method for improving circulation, relaxing muscles and enhancing the functioning of the nervous system. Classic massage can be used both preventively and therapeutically.

Effleurage - long, gliding strokes open the session, warm the tissues and calm the nervous system.
Petrissage and friction - kneading and rubbing of the deeper muscle layers, improving circulation in specific areas.
Tapotement and vibration - rhythmic percussion and vibrations stimulating the muscles and nervous system (applied individually).
Finish - returning to gentle effleurage, integrating all the work with the body.

Effleurage (stroking) opens and closes every session - it calms the nervous system and prepares the tissues for deeper work. Friction stimulates blood and lymph circulation in particularly tense areas. Kneading reaches the deeper muscle layers, releasing contractures and adhesions. Tapotement stimulates blood supply and muscle tone, while vibration relaxes whole body areas.
An experienced masseuse adjusts the proportion of techniques to the state of your body - neck tension after a week at the desk calls for different work than legs after an intense training session.
If you are mainly looking for calm and unwinding, a better choice will be a relaxing massage - gentler, with aromatherapy. For chronic, deeply set tension it is worth choosing a deep tissue massage. Classic massage sits in the middle: concrete enough to genuinely loosen the muscles, and universal enough to work as regular prevention.
For active people we also recommend a sports massage, and for spine complaints - a back massage focused on the neck and lumbar area.
Desk work, stress and lack of movement settle in the body as tension in the neck, shoulders and lower back. A classic massage taken regularly - every 2-4 weeks - prevents this tension from setting in, improves range of motion and sleep quality. It is also a good form of recovery after physical effort and support for tension headaches.

Classic (Swedish) massage is a system developed in the 19th century by Per Henrik Ling. It is based on 5 basic manual techniques and forms the foundation of Western therapeutic massage. It is safe, effective and widely used in physiotherapy.
It should not hurt as a rule. The pressure intensity is adjusted to your preferences. When working on areas of significant tension a momentary discomfort may occur - always communicate your feelings to us.
The first relief can be felt after just one session. For lasting therapeutic effects we recommend a series of 4-6 sessions at regular intervals (every one to two weeks).
